LONG WEEKEND

Hey Junction! I hope you had as much fun as I did getting to know Ryan this morning. There will be no Junction this week. And next Sunday is a long weekend so we will not have a Junction session during the service.

Ryan will be taking over from now on so I guess this is my last post. Wow, time sure flies! I have loved getting to hang, laugh, pray, worship and study God's Word with each and every one of you this year. I will be at Chartwell next Sunday so if you're around take time to say goodbye! Thanks for the amazing year and God bless :)

SKY ZONE

I'm glad so many of us got to come out to our Year End Party this afternoon. Even if it wasn't the greatest weather for a BBQ we made the best of it and had lots of fun inside! Our regular Thursday evening events are finished for the summer, but we'll still get to hang out! Coming up next is a trip to Sky Zone on Thursday, June 18. MAY 31 - JUNCTION SUNDAY

This Sunday we'll finish our discussion on evolution by looking at some related schools of thought within Christianity. And afterwards we will have our Year End Party at the Craig's house. Looks like it'll be an action-packed day!

SMALL GROUP NIGHT & YEAR-END PARTY

We're going to start wrapping up our regularly scheduled week-day programming for the school year. (Don't worry, we'll still hang out in the summer!)

This week and next our small groups will meet.
Guys, we're meeting at Chartwell on Thursday at 7:30 PM for games and snacks. Bring a snack :)
Ladies, your leaders will be in touch with you regarding where and when you'll meet.

On Sunday, May 31 we'll have our year-end party at the Craig's house from 12-5 PM. There will be a BBQ lunch and swimming. Come help us celebrate another awesome year of Junction!

MAY 21 - JUNCTION SUNDAY

This Sunday we'll head to the Junction Room for our lesson. Some of us had questions about evolution. Before we can form an opinion about evolution we first need to make sure we understand the concept. So that's exactly what we'll do! I bet all you Peel School Board kids are just itching to start learning again ;)

MAY 21 - SHARE NIGHT

This Thursday is our last SHARE Night of the school year. We'll meet at Chartwell at 7:30 PM to play some great games, sing some worship songs and close in prayer. Don't miss it!

Unfortunately, I won't be able to join you.  My grandma passed away on the weekend and I'll be at the visitation Thursday evening. But our stalwart leaders whom you know and love will take care of everything! Aren't they great?

APR 26 - JUNCTION SUNDAY

We all survived our game of Survivor, but only one of us won. Congratulations to Max Lightfoot on the magnificent victory!

This Sunday we will meet in the Junction Room to talk about the historicity of the Bible. How did the books of the Bible come together? Can we trust them to be historically accurate? It'll be an exciting discussion!

APR 19 - JUNCTION SUNDAY

Thanks to everyone who came out to make meals this evening! Some people will be really blessed by these meals! The guys did a fine job. And I heard good things from the girls' groups as well.

This Sunday I will be at my baby niece's dedication service in St. Catharines, but fear not! We will still have our regularly scheduled Junction session. Our friend Brad Eager has volunteered to lead. Thanks Brad!

SMALL GROUP SERVE NIGHT

This morning we got to hear from the Windsor and Detroit teams all about the trips they went on this past March break. I'm glad so many of us could be in the service to show our support!

This week we are breaking up into small groups to prepare frozen meals that our church will give to those in need. It'll be fun and helpful! Please get in touch with your small group leader regarding when and where you will meet.

APR 12 - IN SERVICE

You are crazy group of kids. Playing Toaster Roulette with you was one of the highlights of my week, especially because I never got popped on ;) It was also great to hear from the Detroit group. Thanks for sharing about your experience so enthusiastically!

This Sunday we'll hear from the Detroit group again as they share about the trip with the whole church. That can be scary so make sure you smile extra big when they look your way! We'll remain in the service for Bob Cameron's message. Looking forward to it!

APRIL 2 - MAUNDY THURSDAY

For Holy Week last year Chartwell and four nearby churches each hosted a service on a different day of the week. This year is no different! So for Junction this Thursday we will attend the Maundy Thursday service at St. Bride's Anglican Church (1516 Clarkson Rd., Mississagua).

Be there at 6:45 PM to make sure we're there in time for the service to start :) Pick up at 9:00 PM.

MARCH 29 - PALM SUNDAY

Laser tag, gym games, whirly ball? I wish I could live at E Zone! Oh well, I suppose our evening there with Spin will have to do for now.

MARCH 27 - E-ZONE

What a great mission trip we had in Detroit this past week! If you came thank you for making it awesome. If you didn't come feel free to ask about it from those who did. We'd love to share about it with you! Either way I hope you had a refreshing March Break :)

March Break & Detroit Trip!

What a great time of prayer and sharing we had this evening! I'm definitely feeling readier for our mission trip to Detroit than I did before. Thanks to everyone who participated by sharing, praying or listening.

Thanks to everyone who signed up to help with our Valentine's Day Babysitting event this Saturday. If you haven't signed up to help, but would like to, just let me know!

This Sunday our very own Felicia Broadus is going to lead a discussion with us on self-harm. Felicia is currently studying psychology at the University of Ottawa and is working towards a thesis on adolescent self-harm. We'll get to hear from her research and her own personal story about the reality of the issue and the hope that our amazing God provides in the midst of it. Can't wait!

FEB 1 - JUNCTION SUNDAY

Congratulations to our very own Matthew Gordon and Gabsy Evans for winning at Laser Quest! And congratulations to everyone else who came for fighting valiantly. We would do well in a galactic conflict.

This Sunday we will go to the Junction Room to follow up on our study of 'Hemorrhaging Faith'. Many Canadians leave the church sometime between childhood and young adulthood. How do we make sure we stay? The key word is "discipleship". See you there!

JAN 30 - LASER QUEST

This morning we finished surveying the Hemorrhaging Faith study. The statistics are pretty sobering, but let's be filled with hope that God is not finished his work here in Canada. We can even join God in his work here! How cool is that?

This Friday we are joining Spin for an adventure of a lifetime at Laser Quest. If you plan on coming, but have not handed your form and money to me yet, let me know that you are coming!! It's important that we know numbers before the day of trip. I hope to see you all there :)
